These are the landforms surrounded by colorful
hills, which seem to rise and fall like waves with rock strata of different
colors mixed in graceful disarray, it is an imposing and magnificent sight that
you can’t imagine that they real exist while they actually do.
The
Zhangye's palace danxia formations and its colorful hills cover about 300
square kilometers.
The mountains are part of the Zhangye Danxia Landform Geological Park in
China. Layers of different colored sandstone and minerals were pressed together over 24 million years and then buckled up by tectonic plates,
according to the Telegraph.
