The Zhangye's palace danxia formations and its colorful hills cover about 300 square kilometers.
The mountains are part of the Zhangye Danxia Landform Geological Park in China. Layers of different colored sandstone and minerals were pressed together over 24 million years and then buckled up by tectonic plates, according to the Telegraph.

Mount Roraima

This mountain is one of the world’s most extraordinary natural geological formations. Mount Roraima is the highest of the Pakaraima mountain chain in South America located along the borders of Brazil, Venezuela, and Guyana.
The mountain's highest point is Maverick Rock, 2810 meter, and its 31 square kilometer summit area is sheltered by 400-metre-tall cliffs on all sides.
The tabletop mountains of the Pakaraima’s are considered some of the oldest geological formations on Earth, dating back to over two billion years ago. The result is the staggering landscape of Mount Roraima which we tour below in photos.

The Marble Caves

The Marble Caves are located on Lake Carrera on Chile side or Buenos Aires on Argentina side since this lake separates these two countries.
Marble Cave is unique due to its ability to constantly change its appearance. In early spring, the shallow waters are turquoise and create a crystalline shimmer against the caves’ swirling walls.
In summer, the water levels increase and create a deep blue hue which gives the cave a unique unearthly shade.
The water levels are significantly affected by the freezing and melting of the surrounding glaciers. It’s also from these glaciers where the lake takes the fine silt sediments that rest on the lake bed.
